Summer brought some fun things along (and not so fun things). These smaller paintings felt refreshing and acted as a break from my current series. Although I see myself as a sloppy painter, I love to allow myself the time to sit down and work in a tedious manor. I love this type of work. Anything small and, really, anything to get my mind off of "life-things" means for a good day.  More paintings like these, and lots of drawings like these happened this summer. The haunting "transition" phase, and "post-grad" phase brought along TONS of "life-things" in my mind--so these were good for me.

By the way, I've learned that life things will never stop. 

& I'm OK with that. (some days more than others).
